As part of our new and upcoming Hardin Palette of colors, we first introduce the Mini Palette! A great way for testing colors before getting halfpans, this new way of carrying paints is just as portable and convenient as metal tins with halfpans!
Hardin Palette Part 1 This set includes the following colors:
Indigo - a plant-based deep blue color that is great for both mixing shadows and as a stand-alone color.
Tawa-Tawa - a yellow-biased hue from the Tawa-Tawa plant. The color is comparable to the color name yellow ochre, a staple in every artist's palette.
Sappang - a red-brown color from the Sappang tree. It is a great color for mixing skin tones and Earthy hues.
Teak - a brown color from the Teak tree, use if for mixing tones and shadows.
Hardin Palette Part 2 This set includes the following colors:
Anato - Our soft yellow orange color that comes from Atsuete or Anato seeds. A staple in local cooking and now in your color mixing journey!
Talisay Yellow - a very neon hue of yellow that comes from the Talisay Tree. Add little of this to your chosen blue color and you get intense greens!
Ube - our unique violet color from the all-time Filipino favorite ube (root crop). This color is quite unpredictable as first use will show you a black color that eventually dries to a vibrant violet color.
Talisay Black - a black hue that may sometimes show a hint of yellow bias. It is extracted from the same material as Talisay Yellow.
Lakbay Mini Palette This set includes the following colors:
Bughaw - a red-biased blue hue with intense granulation
Ginintuan - a red- biased yellow hue that resembles ginto or gold
Kayumanggi - an maroon hue for mixing anything from skin-tones to earthy colors. High granulation
Luntian - a vivid green for mixing skin undertones or for painting trees
The colors come in a plastic case measuring 4.5 cm x 5.5 cm. Each color is dried into cakes about 1.8cm in diameter with approximately .5cm height.
These watercolors are made with pigments that are extracted from plants and trees. As such, pigments used in the Hardin Palette are organic in nature and are less lightfast than Earth or inorganic pigments. We use our own recipe of watercolor binder to create our paints.
Note: Let watercolor pans dry every after use before storing to prevent mold growth. Store in a dry area, do not expose to humidity.
